Advancing Point-oF-Care Ultrasound Fellowship training within Internal Medicine

Get To Know Us

History

Internal Medicine POCUS fellowships began taking shape in the early 2010s, inspired by a growing appreciation for the power of bedside ultrasound to enhance patient care. While POCUS first found its footing in emergency medicine and critical care, internal medicine physicians quickly saw its value in strengthening the physical exam and improving real-time clinical decisions. In response, passionate educators created fellowship programs to offer focused training that blended hands-on practice, teaching, and research. Over time, these programs have grown into a supportive and innovative community.

Our collaboration was born from a shared desire to enrich the educational experiences we offer and to better serve the evolving needs of our learners and patients.
